History
I have never had any doubt on the fact that sooner or later I will have bred dogs as they have been part of my life from my first years and it could not have been any different. My grandfather was a great breeder of English and Irish setters (Allevamento del Brembo that is now managed by my sisters Ornella and Dunia). My father has been a breeder of setters and Portuguese Pedigueri, ENCI judge, chairman of various dog clubs and organizer of various shows. My weekends were spent around Europe between a shows always with a few four legged friends. Ten years ago, after my father passed away, suddenly dogs left my life; too many memories, too many bonds. I had a complete rejection for dogs for about a year until my husband brought home my first poodle, a little black curly thing, Marlene. I had never had a poodle, when I used to see them at shows with those absurd hair styles they used to give me the impression of indifferent dogs, without character; they never caught my attention. How wrong I was! Marlene has changed, fascinated and completed ruptured our lives with its vivacity, tenderness and cleverness (from opening doors to hiding shoes so we could not go out) and her infinite patience. How could you restrain from giving it a little friend and keep a puppy, and the puppy of the puppy and so on. The number of our fluffy friends started to grow and we had Birba, Lady, Luna, Stella, Schila, Tabata, Sissi, Nerina, Neve, Fiocco, Afrodite, Neja, etc. When my husband comes home and is completed overwhelmed by the joyous barking and by many fluffy balls that jump and try to be the first one to be stroked (as much as to struggle to come in the house), he starts to complain and tells me to regret the day he brought me the first poodle, but when I secretly observe him with our two children cuddling and playing with the dogs, I am certain the for him the only fault of our dog friend is only one: UNFORTUNATLY THEY DON'T LIVE FOREVER!
